ROTE 009: Neil Patel – Entrepreneur, Angel Investor, and Analytics Expert
Understanding how businesses and customers work is the key to finding success. This applies to both online and offline businesses.
However, in the world of online business there is so much more than can be done with really drilling down on the analytics of your business. This includes site stats, user engagement, improving conversions and actually knowing how much you are spending to get traffic to your site while also turning them into paying customers in the process. Once you know how much a new visitor or customer to your site is worth, then you can expand your marketing on all levels.
This simply can’t be done with an offline business, and if it can… it’s no where near what can be accomplished with online tracking and monetization.
This is exactly what we are going to be talking about in the latest episode of the Rise of the Entrepreneur.
Rise of the Entrepreneur – Episode 9 with Neil Patel
Neil Patel is many things… he’s an entrepreneur, blogger, angel investor and also a lover of analytics and growing traffic.
We often talk about how the success of your business boils down to how passionate you are about it, and this definitely applies to the business and success Neil has experienced over the years.
The cool thing about Neil is that his success didn’t come overnight or in the form of selling a company for millions of dollars… instead it came over a long period of time and lots of hard work.
Neil first starting making money while in high school by selling car parts, cds and dvds to other students. Then Neil learned the definition of hard work when he got his first job at Knott’s Berry Farm, where he was paid minimum wage to clean restrooms and pick up trash. After that Neil then learned the concept of selling, by being a door to door sales man for Kirby vacuums.
With a wide range of work experience and learning under his belt, all of this eventually led to the successful Neil Patel that many of us know today through his blog at QuickSprout.
Today Neil Patel is the co-founder of Crazy Egg, Hello Bar and KISSmetrics. He also helps companies like Amazon, NBC, GM, HP and Viacom grow their revenue.
