Imagine the internet without affiliate marketing. Sure, for the average person using the internet (which is around 99.9% of internet users) it would most likely be the same experience for them. However, from a business aspect everything would be different.

Even if you were to take a look at Amazon.com, you could question if they would become the power house they are today had they not launch their own affiliate program back in the late 90s. The same can be said for Google, their paid serve and Adsense programs. The basis for many of their advertisers is based off the affiliate marketing concept.

At the end of the day, in the world of business and ecommerce on the internet — affiliate marketing is a billion dollar industry that has changed everything!

I’ve been good friends with Shawn for a while now and we’ve both been able to experience the affiliate marketing industry completely transition and develop over the past 15+ years. We were both in attendance at the Affiliate Force cruise, which was one of the first attempts at an affiliate marketing conference, but knew it could be done better. At that point Shawn and Missy decided they could do it better and the rest is history!
